A three-day Fluuido workshop exploring proportion, asymmetry and the construction of the Fibonacci Vessel through coiling. I’ll guide you through the complete process, from the first coils to the final refinement of the sculptural curves and surface. The workshop is pre-recorded, with instant access and no scheduled live dates. Work through it at your own pace and allow your clay to rest whenever it needs to. After seven years working with coiling, my practice has developed around proportion, movement and the relationship between different volumes. My background in fashion continues to influence how I approach silhouette and form, while working with clay has taught me to let the material influence the final result. In this workshop, we first build the main vessel and then introduce the Fibonacci curves, learning how to position, align and balance each addition so the entire piece works as one composition. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: • How to build and control a larger organic vessel • How to create asymmetrical curves and change direction • How to read the clay and know when to continue or pause • How to establish proportions for the Fibonacci composition • How to position and build additional curves • How to align multiple volumes and maintain balance • How to work with positive and negative space • How to refine transitions, curves, neck and surface THE THREE DAYS: Day 1 | Foundation & Form Building the main vessel, establishing the silhouette, introducing asymmetry and preparing the piece to rest. Day 2 | Fibonacci Form Establishing proportions, introducing the curves, building additional volumes and finding alignment and balance. Day 3 | Refinement & Completion Refining curves, proportions, transitions, neck and surface, and resolving the final form. Suitable for makers with some previous experience working with clay and coiling. Level 1 is not required.
