About the event
Yasmin Hamouda is a chef, designer and maker interested in what and how we eat, and how ceramics can influence our experiences with food. Through the use of site specific materials and bespoke design for restaurants, plates become an extension of food narratives and values, inviting diners to consider mindful practices and considerations of both ceramic material and food systems.
Following a career in hospitality, Hamouda graduated from Central Saint Martins, London, in 2023 with a first class BA (hons) in Ceramic Design and has since worked with some of London's prestigious restaurants including the much loved Kiln, Kolae and the Michelin star awarded Trinity.
With a portfolio spanning from restaurant tableware to publications about the intersections of food and craft, a deep interest in dining experiences drives her work through a range of outputs.
